Geri Horner took a trip down memory lane as she recreated a famous L’Oreal ad from the 1970s for International Women’s Day.

The singer, 48, looked radiant as she posed for her own version of the brand’s iconic 1970s hair colour commercial starring model Joanne Dusseau.

The Spice Girl styled her locks into loose waves for the stunning snaps as she posed in a garden for the 50th anniversary of the brand’s slogan ‘Because you’re worth it’.

Geri donned a baby blue plaid shirt along with a pair of navy jeans while she cinched her waist with a tan belt.

The hitmaker also sported a grey cardigan and completed her look for the shoot with a light pallet of makeup.

On the new shoot, Geri said: ‘You’re worth it! Today on International Women’s Day, marks 50 years of L’Oreal Paris’ iconic tagline “You’re worth it”.

‘In honour of Ilon Specht, a 23-year-old female copywriter in a room full of men, who came up with the amazing tagline.

‘This photo is a tribute to the first advert featuring the famous line, which came out the year I was born, 1972.

‘Also the same flowers from the 70s advert – Kalanchoe. Symbolises endurance and lasting affection. A trailblazer, Girl Power at its finest – timeless! Happy birthday to L’Oreal Paris.’

It comes after Geri celebrated her ‘ginger’ Spice Girls nickname on Saturday as she spray painted her ‘old banger’ of a car.

The singer took to Instagram to show off her art skills as she shared a collection of pictures of the vehicle covered in graffiti.

Geri joked in the caption that she was ‘open for business’ and it was like an episode of Pimp My Ride, which saw rapper Xzibit transform people’s cars into luxury vehicles.

In the pictures, the Spice Girl donned her signature style of an all-white ensemble with dungarees, a knitted top and trainers.
