Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky is gearing up for her new role in Netflix’s exciting new action drama film Interceptor.

The 44-year-old Spanish actress will star as the lead character – a woman set to save the world from 16 nuclear missiles.

The exciting new movie will be filmed in Sydney, with production set to commence later this month.

Elsa told News Corp on Sunday, she has been rehearsing moves for the film using a toy pistol at home with her husband Chris and their three children.

‘I brought home a toy gun to practise with and was showing my kids a fight I have to do and they were really excited. Especially my daughter, who has two brothers who keep telling her “we’re stronger than you” and she says “no way!”

The actress continued: ‘She can now see in what ways she can be stronger.’

Elsa’s husband Chris will is producing the exciting new film alongside Kathy Morgan, Christopher Mapp, Robert Slaviero, and Peter D. Graves.

Chris is also currently filming Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney.

Lead actor Chris has been flying in and out of Sydney via private jet since production commenced in January.

His friend and co-star Matt Damon has also joined him on several of these journeys, which suggests their characters are filming scenes together.

Chris has portrayed Thor in the franchise for 10 years, while Matt has only made an uncredited cameo in the 2017 release of Thor: Ragnarok.

The latest installment of Thor is being filmed in Australia after receiving a $24.1 million location incentive grant from the Federal Government.

Directed by Taika Waititi, the film is expected to bring more than $178million to the local economy, create 2,500 jobs and enlist services from about 1,650 businesses.
