Travis Barker calls girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian ‘a great mom’ on the Drew Barrymore Show

Travis Barker only has kind things to say about his uber famous girlfriend.

The musician, 45, appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show this Wednesday, and during their chat he gushed about his current flame Kourtney Kardashian.

The Blink-182 drummer discussed the adorable love letter she recently gave him, along with what it’s like dating someone else who has kids.

‘Up until now I would date girls that didn’t have kids and I find it kind of hard because I think they would have trouble understanding, like, “Well, why don’t you want to go to dinner every night with me?” or “Why don’t you want to see me every night?”‘ Barker explained. 

‘Now I am spending time with a woman who is a great mom, who is a great friend, and you don’t have to worry about any of those things,’ he continued, referring to Kourtney, 41. 

‘It just comes naturally, it’s like a maturity thing.’

Travis shares daughter Alabama, 15, and son Landon, 17, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, while Kourtney is mom to daughter Penelope, eight, and sons Mason, 11, and Reign, six, with ex partner Scott Disick.

Barker also talked about the idea of absence making the heart grow fonder with Drew on Wednesday.

‘I also really like missing someone and cherishing the time I spend with them instead of every day being with them,’ he shared. ‘Especially in the beginning of the relationship, I think missing someone is so important.’

And as for Kourt’s now-famous and poetic love letter to her man – which read ‘To lots of fun adventures, may we destroy each other completely’ – Barrymore had her own thoughts.

‘I was like, “Oh, that’s so hot,”‘ shared the actress-turned-daytime host. ‘I think my love note might be, “Can we get to bed early and like watch a movie?”‘

Laughing, Travis responded, ‘Yeah, I would prefer the opposite, I would prefer to kind of go in a blaze of glory and ball of flames.’ 

Barker and the eldest Kardashian sister have been friends for quite some time, before the pair reportedly took things to the next level romantically over quarantine. 

The pair went public with the relationship just after Valentine’s Day last month.

And Hollywood Life reports that it was in fact Barker that made the first ‘move’ in taking things to the next level.

‘He just finally made a move and that’s how things went to the next level. He couldn’t hide it anymore.’ a source told the outlet, before noting that ‘She’s had a thing for him too, but wanted to respect everyone’s boundaries, like with their exes.’
