Tilda Swinton is known for her chameleon like transformations on screen.

And the actress is taking on another bold look in George Miller’s upcoming fantasy film Three Thousands Years of Longing.

The 60-year-old was hard to miss in a bright red ensemble as she filmed scenes for the movie on location in Sydney Park on Thursday.

Tilda styled her hair in a striking orange bob cut with bangs and accessorised with a pair of glasses.

At one point, she was spotted pouring over her script while seated at a park bench.  

According to IMDb, the film is about a ‘lonely and bitter British woman’ who encounters a genie during a trip to Istanbul.

She is granted three wishes, which forces her to realise she has a ‘desire to be loved’.

The film is written and directed by Mad Max director George Miller and has a budget of around US$60,000,000.

In an interview with British Vogue earlier this year, the Doctor Strange actress admitted she never set out to be a movie star.

‘I’ve never had any ambition as an artist. That may sound crazy and transgressive, but it’s a fact,’ she told the publication.

‘If you’d asked me when I was 10 or 20, I would have said my only ambitions were to live in a family, to have friends that made me laugh and laughed at my jokes, and to live in the Highlands of Scotland, by the sea with a lot of dogs and a kitchen garden. Seriously.

‘And I have been really blessed to be able to achieve them. Everything else is a bonus. Everything else is just icing and candles and flowers alongside.’
