Neighbours star Bonnie Anderson shot to fame at the age of 12 after winning Australia’s Got Talent.

‘I remember one day in particular I was walking up with my huge bags, and I was so tiny, I was walking up this big hill at school and this older guy in year 12, six years older than me, so nearly 18, he yelled out “Australia’s Got No Talent,”‘ she said.

‘Things like that happen every now and then and I remember one day I absolutely broke and I just ran into the quadrangle to my girlfriends and I started crying like, “why are they so mean to me?”‘

However, Bonnie admitted that those moments ‘made [her] so strong’, and her parents helped her through them.

‘My parents are so strong and my mum would say, “stuff them you’re an amazing person,”‘ she added.

‘They were beautiful people and you would believe that. It’s really important to believe in your own work and be the best version of yourself.’

It comes after Bonnie announced on Instagram last month that she’s leaving Neighbours, after three years playing Bea Nilsson on the long-running soap.

‘I’ve made life long friends at Neighbours and very grateful for being supported and accepted from day one as a first time actor from my fellow actors, the producers, crew and viewers! You’re all special to me!
