Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveal the hit shows they turned down and the reasons why

As Australia’s biggest radio duo, it’s no surprise that Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson are offered some of the best TV gigs in the country.

In a new interview with news.com.au, the pair revealed some of the incredible opportunities they’ve turned down in their career, and some of the gigs that were beneath their star status.

Kyle revealed that he turned down a guest role on Modern Family ‘due to laziness’.

He said the main catalyst was the fact that he’d been asked to audition for the role instead of just being handed it outright.

Both Jackie and Kyle said that they’ve also rejected many of the star-studded reality shows like Dancing With The Stars and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

‘Most of those shows, Dancing With The Stars, I’m A Celeb, they do the rounds on everyone,’ Jackie said.

‘Everyone gets asked at some point to do those shows.’

Jackie also turned down The Real Dirty Dancing, saying that she only wants to be a judge on competition shows, rather than a reality contestant.

Despite the amount of shows they’ve said no to, both Kyle and Jackie have also accepted many high profile offers over the years.

In 2005, Kyle replaced Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson as a judge on Australian Idol. He remained on the show for four-and-a-half seasons.

He went on to become the co-host of Big Brother in 2008 alongside Jackie, but the pair were canned after the season delivered poor ratings.

Kyle would later serve as a judge on both Australia’s Got Talent and The X Factor, before landing his own courtroom-themed series, Trial by Kyle.

Meanwhile, Jackie is best known for hosting the reality shows Popstars and Australian Princess. She currently serves as a judge on The Masked Singer Australia.
