Machine Gun Kelly’s drummer JP ‘Rook’ Cappelletty was hospitalized after he was run down in a vehicle amid a robbery Tuesday evening in Hollywood Hills.

Police told TMZ that Cappelletty, 27, had been walking in Hollywood Hills Tuesday evening when a pair of men ambushed him from a vehicle. The Toledo, Ohio native fought his attackers, but was robbed of thousands in property, authorities told the outlet.

Police said the drummer was also hit by a vehicle, causing injuries to his arm and foot.

On his Instagram Stories account, Cappelletty was pictured in a hospital bed with his arm in a cast and bandage. He wrote the caption, ‘Don’t worry I’ll bounce back.’

Police told the outlet that it was not immediately clear if the men who attacked the musician had weapons. The robbers fled the scene.

The Tickets To My Downfall artist 30, was seen visiting Cappelletty in another shot on Instagram. The actor-rapper, who is dating actress Megan Fox, wore a maroon shirt as he flipped off the camera.

Rook has been a drummer for MGK for nine years. Speaking with the Ohio ABC affiliate 13ABC in 2017, Rook talked about his path to musical stardom.

‘In high school my counselors would be on me saying I know you want to be a rock star, but you need to have other choices,’ he said. ‘I understood where they were coming from but I told them I was either going to be a drummer or a bum, that was my mind set.’

He had advice for aspiring artists, saying, ‘I don’t think it’s impossible for anyone to do what I am doing. It’s about getting yourself in the right place and having the right people to help you with your vision. As long as you have a vision of what you want to do, you can get there.’
