Kyle and Jackie O reveal how seemingly ‘normal’ household items give away a person’s wealth

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson have revealed the signs your school friends were secretly rich.

The duo revealed on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O on Thursday, the household items that gave away a person’s wealth. 

‘I remember I used to think my friend was loaded because at the front of her house she had a water fountain. To me that meant super rich,’ Jackie O revealed.

‘I agree, if I knew someone with one of those I’d be amazed,’ Kyle agreed.

The 46-year-old also said that having a large garden statue would indicate a person was wealthy.

‘Another thing my friend had at a different house was a laundry chute. The house was nothing flash at all but in the upstairs bathroom they had a door and you could throw your clothes down into the laundry,’ Jackie O added.

The radio duo also agreed they would associate any home with a double staircase on either side or a foyer with being rich.

Kyle added: ‘I also thought plugging your vacuum cleaner into different wall sockets was rich.’

‘You didn’t have the big vacuum, you just had the hose and you would connect it into a socket in the wall and it’s all internal suction.’

Kyle also said having a water slide attached to a pool and palm trees in the  backyard was a sign of wealth.

‘If you went to your friend’s fridge and they had an ice dispenser that was also rich,’ he added.

Jackie agreed: ‘How excited did you get as a kid going to someone’s house that had an ice dispenser? All you would do is go for a drink and fill it up with ice.’
