A man has sparked a backlash after revealing he bizarrely pours a jug of milk over his Cornish pasty.
Paul George, a dairy farmer from Tresillian, near Truro in Cornwall, was filmed sitting at his table delving into the tasty treat which could be seen drenched in the dairy product – before urging others to give it a go for themselves.
In the controversial footage, shared by Cornwall Live, he removes the pasty out of the oven and exclaims: ‘This is what you call a proper pasty, it’s even smiling at me.’
But while many would then reach for the gravy boat, Paul has other ideas – and slices the pasty open, before smothering it in milk.

Unsurprisingly, Paul suspected that some may be confused by his rather unusual condiment of choice.
‘We’ve been proud dairy farmers for generations, and we’ve been pouring the finest, freshest Cornish milk over our pasties for generations as well,’ said Paul, explaining his reasoning to Cornwall Live.
‘As a child, I can remember the milk being poured straight over our pasties as soon as it came out of the Aga.
‘It helped cool it down so you could eat it quickly, stopping us kids getting burnt mouths, but also softened the contents all up nicely as well.’

Taking to Twitter, one person joked: ‘This man needs help…..mistaking a pasty for cornflakes here my boy’ (pictured)
He went on to say how it meant that workers could then head back to the fields without the need to wait around for the pasty to cool.
But many were left less than impressed with Paul’s quirky dining habits – with one branding it ‘disgusting’ and another adding: ‘He’s off his trolley.’
However, others defended the dairy farmer, with one writing: ‘Live and let live whatever tickles your fancy……’
Elsewhere, others joked that Paul had mistaken his pasty for his breakfast.
‘This man needs help…..mistaking a pasty for cornflakes here my boy,’ wrote one, while a second penned: ‘Dirty B#/?%:@D he will be putting Bovril on his crunchy nut cornflakes next?’
