This coming July will mark the 10th anniversary of Chris Evans’ Captain America: The First Avenger, with the star celebrating a bit early with some rare candid footage.
Evans, 39, took to Twitter on Wednesday morning, sharing the new video with his 14.5 million Twitter followers and 9 million Instagram followers.
The video features behind-the-scenes footage of Evans on the set, shot by his high school friend Zach, who was Evans’ assistant along with another friend Jon.

‘When I filmed the first Captain America in 2010, two of my high school buddies, Zach and Jon, were my “assistants,”‘ Evans began his tweet.
‘Zach got a lot of great footage. Jon was unimpressed,’ Evans added, with his tweet getting over 12K retweets and over 150K likes.
The first shot in the behind-the-scenes video was taken from afar, showing Evans, in his full Captain America costume, jumping off a ledge, while being secured on a harness.

As Evans was being pulled back to the original position, cameraman Zach turned the camera to Jon, who shook his head and gave a thumbs down.
The next shot showed Evans diving into a tank of water, and when Zach ask Jon, ‘What do you think of the dive jump?’ he just shook his head.
Evans was also seen shirtless carrying some dumbells around, which Jon also did not approve of, while another scene showed Evans being lowered onto a car from a wiring rig.

Evans had previously starred as Marvel superhero Johnny Storm in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie, and its 2007 sequel Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

He returned the next year in the massive hit Marvel’s The Avengers, along with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
He most recently starred on the Apple TV Plus series Defending Jacob, and he’ll next be seen in Don’t Look Up.
