Self-proclaimed ‘crap housewife’ Jessica Rowe wields a broom after her ‘fine cooking’ sets off the fire alarm

She’s turned her disdain for cooking and cleaning into a hilarious brand.

And Jessica Rowe, 50, happily lived up to her ‘crap housewife’ moniker yet again on Monday.

Taking to Instagram, the joyfully bumbling housewife let her fans know she accidentally let off the fire alarm.

Former Studio Ten star Jessica showed herself with a broom handle in hand as she attempted to silence the alarm.

‘It has been a while but tonight my fine cooking set off the smoke alarm,’ Jessica said.

She then let fans know she was cooking salmon instead of pasta.

Not so bad: 'But Petee [Overton] approves as it is not pasta. It was the grilled Salmon that did it,' she added

Only last week Jessica shared a bowl of tinned spaghetti with toast triangles of wholemeal bread surrounding it.

‘Today is Sunday! Sunday is spaghetti on toast,’ Jess wrote alongside the image.

She added the hashtags: craphousewife, luckypetee, fancytoasttriangles.

‘Absolutely nothing wrong with that!! Aussie comfort food,’ one fan wrote. Another added: ‘I wish you delivered!’

Jessica regularly jokes about being a ‘crap housewife’ while presenting more casual types of food on her Instagram.

It is also the name of her book, Diary of a Crap Housewife, which was released in April of 2019.

Jessica was a panelist on Studio 10 from 2013 until 2018.

In March that year, she announced she was leaving the morning show to spend more time with her children.

She told The Australian Women’s Weekly a year later that she actually left because she was struggling with her mental health.

‘I could feel at the end of each show, not every day, but most days I would be close to tears,’ she told the magazine.
