Emmy Awards has a date! The ceremony will take place in September but it is not yet known if the show will be back to normal

The Emmys has found a date.

The 73rd annual Emmy Awards will take place on Sunday, September 19 and will air on CBS as well as stream on Paramount+ it was learned on Tuesday.

The location has not yet been announce but the ceremony usually takes place at the  Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.

A host for the splashy show, which has seen Jennifer Aniston and Sharon Stone get the award as well as shows such as Game Of Thrones and Schitt’s Creek, will be revealed at a later time.

Last year’s Emmys were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. 

Paramount+ subscribers who pay for the premium tier will get access to their local CBS stations.

The rebranded streaming service launches on Thursday.

In September there may be enough people vaccinated to have a normal amount of presenters as well as a live audience.

Last year there was a virtual shows as winners were streamed from their homes, which resulted in only 6.1million viewers.

Normally there are 30% more viewers.  

The Golden Globe Awards aired on Sunday and was hosting from both New York and Los Angeles with several nominees on Zoom.

There were presenters however including Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta Jones with husband Michael Douglas.
