Ana de Armas shares she was a ‘little freaked out’ when named the face of Estee Lauder

Ana de Armas filled fans in on some of their most asked questions.

The 32-year-old actress revealed some of her beauty secrets in a behind-the-scenes video from her Estee Lauder photoshoot posted on the beauty brand’s Instagram account.

Ana was unveiled as the new face of Estee Lauder last week, a company that Kendall Jenner and Elizabeth Hurley have been linked to in the past.

The Cuban beauty sported a stunning gold silk dress for the shoot, keeping her glowing skin on display with her hair slicked back off her face.

‘I am thrilled to be joining the Estee Lauder family. I’m on set now shooting my new campaign and I can’t tell you much more than that right now, but stay tuned,’ she started the video.

Ana revealed her reaction to being named as the latest Global Brand Ambassador for the beauty company: ‘A little bit of a freak out. I was very excited and happy and proud. It’s such an iconic brand.’

As for her go-to beauty look, the Knives Out star says: ‘If I really want to do something special, I would probably go red lip.’

She added that mascara is the one beauty product she can’t live without. 

The brunette bombshell explained that she knew she wanted to be an actress ‘a long time ago,’ adding: ‘It was pretty clear for me very soon that that’s what I wanted to do.’

‘The first time I went to Cannes Film Festival. That was a huge pinch me moment,’ she identified the first moment in her career that made her jaw drop.

She said Thailand is her favorite place to visit that she can’t wait to go back to: ‘I have been twice – both times for over a month.’

Ana also admitted tamales are the one dish from she misses the most, and that skydiving is on her bucket list. ‘But I don’t think I’ll ever do it,’ she said with a laugh.

The Bond girl relaxes by ‘doing something with my girlfriends’ and ended the video by sharing her advice for her younger self.  

‘That’s tricky. I would have told myself years ago to relax and take it easy and be patient. Relax,’ she said. 

The announcement came just weeks after she ended her romance with boyfriend Ben Affleck, whom she met on the set of Deep Water and began dating in March 2020.

The split was reported to be ‘as amicable as can be’, with sources insisting the pair still have ‘a lot of love’ for one another.

An insider previously said: ‘There is a lot of love still between the two of them. The split is as amicable as can be.’

Ana has been taking the breakup in stride, looking undaunted in the candid moments she frequently shares on her Instagram stories.

The star posted a glistening selfie on Tuesday sitting by the window as the sun glistened off her gorgeous face. 

She still looked like a movie star clad in a white t-shirt and sweats as she tried to be productive despite the interruptions of her dog.

‘Trying to work,’ she captioned the photo to her 3.9 million followers.
