Strictly’s Karen Hauer pictured with ex David Webb as former couple reunite during dog walk

Karen Hauer has sparked rumours of a reconciliation with her ex David Webb after the pair were spotted together during a low-key dog walk on Thursday.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 38, and the opera singer ended their romance in September after a two year relationship.

But the former couple appeared very relaxed in each other’s company as they stopped for a chat while the Venezuelan dancer walked their three dogs.

Despite their break-up five-months previously, the pair made for friendly exes as they smiled and talked during the meeting in the park.

Karen dressed down for the outing, teaming a pink sports top and black leggings with a padded black gilet.

The beauty finished off her sporty look with a black sports cap and white trainers, while she also clutched on to a paper shopping bag. 

She was seen walking her dogs alone down the street before reuniting with David in the park.

It is not known whether it was a chance meeting or an arranged reunion. The ex couple share dogs Betty, Marley and Phoebe together. 

MailOnline have contacted representative of Karen for comment. 

It was previously reported in September that Karen – who was previously married to dancer Kevin Clifton – and David had ‘quietly’ ended their romance with David leaving their London home. 

A source told The Sun: ‘It finished on good terms, they have a mutual respect for one another and there were no other parties involved – the relationship simply ran its course. 

‘Karen has been able to throw herself back into preparing for the next series of Strictly and has told her friends she’s in a really good place.

‘Being a part of the show is helping to take her mind off everything and she’s being supported by her co-stars, many of whom she counts as close mates.

The couple were first seen together on Boxing Day in 2018, after David spent the festive period with Karen and her family in New York, before taking things to the next level when they moved in together in April 2019. 

Earlier this month, Karen ruled out the idea of using a dating app to find love as she talked about being single following her split from opera singer David.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, Karen has insisted she is embracing single life and added it is incredibly hard to get back into dating due to the pandemic.  

Talking about her love life, she said: ‘At the moment I’m just at home relaxing. There’s no way of dating right now. I’m dating my three dogs. 

‘For me I need to feel the connection with someone right away. I’d feel really weird dating someone from an app. I’m very old school.’

Karen added she finds dating apps ‘impersonal’ and would much rather meet someone in everyday life.  

The Venezuelan beauty divorced Strictly co-star Kevin Clifton, 38, in 2018. He is now in a relationship with his former Strictly partner Stacey Dooley, 33. 

Meanwhile, Karen recently revealed she would ‘never, never have let go of her marriage’ to Kevin and wanted to fight to keep it going.

Karen told The Divorce Club podcast with Samantha Baines that the couple split after ‘things got really nasty overnight’ after becoming jealous at not getting enough attention from her partner. 

She said: ‘Obviously, other things happen, there are other factors that happened, that really hurt us both. But I thought… I would have never let go of it. I wouldn’t have never, never let go of it. 

‘I would have liked to have fought for it. It took me a year after we separated to actually let go of him.’ 

During the chat, Karen admitted that it took her a while to get over her relationship with Kevin, which is no surprise given that they had to work together on Strictly.  

She continued: ‘It took me a long time to cut the umbilical cord that I had connected to him. 

‘Because it was connected for such a long time and at a completely different level than my first marriage, because this marriage was what I was always looking for. But I learned a lot. 

‘Huge lessons for me. Because of that breakup and what I had to go through emotionally, physically work wise and in the public eye – it made me stronger, and it made me realise what I really need to work on, and that was me.

‘I had to work with him for two, three years after we got separated and it was hard because you can see how much love you have for one another, and the respect.’

Karen said she knows now what went wrong between them. 

She said: ‘Under different circumstances of better understanding of ourselves, of what we actually needed, and to actually just sit down and have some time for ourselves, I think that it would have worked.’
