Nicole Kidman, 53, shares sweet snap of herself as a young girl

In the decades since she launched her hugely successful acting career in the early 1980s, she’s won legions of fans for her countless glamorous red carpet outings.

And Nicole Kidman proved her impeccable sense of style pre-dates her career, when she took to Instagram to share an adorable snap of herself as a young girl.

The Undoing star, 53, dug into her archives to post the sweet snapshot, which showed her wearing in a green patterned dress as she smiled for the camera.

The young Nicole’s fiery red locks, which would go on to become an identifying part of her signature look, were styled in a straight sleek style with a delicate hair clip.

Contrasting the image, Nicole also shared a close-up selfie showing herself in the present day, with her curly locks slightly covering her stunning features.

Captioning the pair of images, the Hawaii-born, Australia-raised star simply wrote: ‘Little Nic ➡️ Big Nic.’

Earlier this month, Nicole shared a touching Valentine’s Day tribute post in honour of her doting husband, Keith Urban, 53.

She posted a picture of herself sharing a steamy snog with her country music star beau, which she sweetly captioned: ‘My forever Valentine.’

The image showed the duo cosied up in warm clothing while Nicole wrapped her legs around her other half.

In October, Keith revealed the secret to his 15-year marriage to Nicole, telling Woman’s Day he ‘tends’ to their love like a garden.

‘I do the same things I did at the beginning when we started dating,’ he said.

Speaking metaphorically, he explained: ‘It’s tending to the garden. If you don’t do the work, the garden starts to grow over, and then you complain that the garden is not very interesting and you look for another garden. I maintain this garden.’ 

The popular musician star added: ‘Nicole is also my best friend. I’ve never had anyone on the planet who knows me as well as she does.’

While Keith admits that his relationship – like maintaining a garden – takes work, he has also said that marriage is easy because he and Nicole ‘just love being together’.

‘We’re best friends and we love doing everything together – we’re the priority,’ he told 2Day FM in September 2016. ‘Everything else comes after that.’

The couple married in the Sydney suburb of Manly in 2006, a year after meeting at the G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles. They share two daughters, Sunday and Faith.

Prior to her relationship with Keith, Nicole was married to Tom Cruise for 11 years.
