Rebecca Zemek spoke more about her difficult upbringing on Thursday’s episode of Married At First Sight.
In a conversation with clinical sexologist Alessandra Rampolla, the 27-year-old confessed she felt more love from her friends than she ever did from her family.
‘There was no affection growing up. There was not many I love you’s in the family, which is hard,’ she continued, becoming emotional.

The business manager showed off her incredible figure as she removed her robe and climbed into the bathtub.

‘I’m really glad that we started on such a fresh page this morning. I was really worried that we weren’t going to be able to, and that’s mainly because when I talk to you, I just really, really want you to get to know me,’ she told him.
‘And I hated how awkward it was yesterday. You give me no communication and you go in for a kiss, and then tell me it was because the scenery is beautiful.
‘That’s not between us… I just feel you need to understand, the journey starts with getting to know me, and you haven’t tried to get to know me at all.’

‘And the intimacy stuff for me is actually really important in a relationship. I get a little bit from you, and then I get this wall that will just come straight up, and I’m like, “What happened?” And immediately, I’m like, “Is it me?”‘

Bec told Jake she couldn’t connect with him physically unless they found a way to communicate, before giving him some insight into her upbringing.
‘I don’t come from such a close family, and I think that just brings up raw emotions for me… Yeah, it’s hard,’ she said.
She added: ‘I want to be here because I want something, and I want something more. I need someone that can communicate with me and can connect with me on that emotional level.’
