Married At First Sight bride Melissa Rawson was reduced to tears during her honeymoon after her husband Bryce Ruthven brutally admitted that she wasn’t the type of girl he would normally pursue.
And on Thursday, things didn’t appear to be getting much better for the newlyweds.
Wednesday’s episode kicked off with Bryce and Melissa sharing their first breakfast as husband and wife.

Sitting on opposite sides of the kitchen, the couple ignored each other until Bryce asked Melissa if she wanted to address their argument.
‘I don’t know what else I can say to clear up what I meant,’ she said in response to her asking if he had an ulterior motive for appearing on the show.
‘It’s just if you trust someone you don’t question them. I didn’t question you,’ he said back.

Melissa then explains that she wasn’t questioning his motives but rather participating in the challenge tasked by the show’s relationship experts.
‘I get that, I just I don’t get where it’s come from,’ Bryce responded.
‘That’s a challenge. We’re going to face bigger challenges throughout this whole experiment,’ he added.
Melissa responded by asking Bryce, ‘Can you not see where I’m coming from?’
Bryce said while did see her side of things, he believed they were on different pages.

A teary-eyed Melissa then confesses, ‘Maybe it’s just going to take me a little bit longer to realise that this could potentially be something. I didn’t think that I would like you this quickly’

Speaking to producers, Melissa explains: ‘I’m 100 per cent out of my depth. I’ve no idea how to navigate this.’
‘I honestly shouldn’t feel so insecure, but I don’t know when I will be able to fully trust him because there’s still elements of his life and who he is, that I’m still getting to know where to go from here.’
Melissa then asks Bryce, ‘Do we have a reset button?’ before she apologises to Bryce.

Later in the episode, Melissa and Bryce attempt to put their difficulties behind them with a romantic picnic date.
Melissa used the opportunity to get to know a little about Bryce’s past, asking him: ‘Was there anything that your girlfriend didn’t like or made your relationship a little bit challenging?’
Bryce explained he always put his job as a radio announcer as his first priority in life.
‘They just never understand. I don’t know, they sort of take that in their own way. But like for me, it’s just it’s part of the job,’ he said.

The couple’s date went sour after Bryce revealed he had been unfaithful in a previous relationship.
‘It is a tough question because I don’t know if you will like my answer,’ he began.
‘I have been one of those guys that has cheated on a partner before and I was kind of not wanted to tell you on the honeymoon like I was going to tell you at some point, but probably when we knew each other a bit more.’
Melissa used the opportunity to get to know a little about Bryce’s past, asking him: ‘Was there anything that your girlfriend didn’t like or made your relationship a little bit challenging?’
Bryce explained he didn’t want his confession to change her opinion of him.
‘Yeah, that’s heavy,’ she replied.
Bryce then said he didn’t want to get labeled as a serial ‘cheater’, having been unfaithful in the past.
He said: ‘I don’t get labeled as a cheater, because it happened once, I know that there are guys that do it over and over again, but I’m just not that type of guy anymore.’
