Married At First Sight: James Susler finally shows up for an interview

There he is! Married At First Sight’s James Susler FINALLY shows up for a TV interview with wife Joanne Todd after he ‘let her do their radio appearances alone’

Married At First Sight’s James Susler caused a PR headache for Channel Nine when he failed to show up for his scheduled breakfast radio interviews with his wife Joanne Todd on Thursday, the morning after their wedding aired on TV.

But it seems the luxury car salesman, 44, made up for lost time when he showed up for his first television interview with Today Extra later that morning.

He joined the barber, 39, for a live cross from Melbourne, as they were interviewed by hosts David Campbell and Belinda Russell from Nine’s North Sydney studio.

They discussed their wedding day jitters and different lifestyles, and were also pressed on the progress of their relationship so far.

They made sure to put on a happy front as they spoke about the experiment in the present tense, even though their wedding was filmed months ago.

James said: ‘I think we have to wait and see what comes out of it.’

Meanwhile, Joanne took a more positive approach, saying: ‘So far so good. I’m pretty confident. I’m happy.’

Daily Mail Australia understands Nine’s PR team and the bride herself were frantically trying to get in contact with the groom ahead of their breakfast radio chats.

But after she couldn’t reach him, Joanne decided to go ahead with the interviews with major and regional radio stations on her own.
