Former radio presenter Bryce Ruthven is sure causing quite a stir on Married At First Sight, after ‘marrying’ Melissa Rawson.
And now, messages obtained by Daily Mail Australia seem to prove just how much the 31-year-old wanted to be on the controversial dating show.
Bryce, who reportedly broke up with ex-fiancée of five years Lana Bongioletti just six months before going on the show, constantly asked former MAFS star Nasser Sultan for advice on how to be cast as a groom.

Nasser, 53, supplied Daily Mail Australia with screenshots of direct messages on Instagram exchanged between him and Bryce in July and August, before Bryce started filming the show on August 26.
‘You’re in,’ Nasser told Bryce in one message.
‘Surely this is the end of the process?’ Bryce replied.

He added: ‘How do you know I’m in? Haha.’
In another, he told Nasser he was ‘filming my back story in two to three weeks.’
Nasser also wanted to appear on Bryce’s radio show, Hit 104.7.
Meanwhile, Nasser told Daily Mail Australia last week about how much Bryce was wanting to appear on MAFS.
‘I said, “mate, don’t do it, you’ve got a great career in radio,” Nasser explained.
‘You’re in,’ Nasser told Bryce in one message. ‘Surely this is the end of the process?’ Bryce replied
‘And he’s like, “I want to try, this and that, I’ll see how it goes…” but weekly he was ringing me to get advice.’
On Wednesday night’s MAFS Bryce copped the wrath of viewers when he made his TV ‘wife’ Melissa cry after admitting that she isn’t his ‘type’.
Bryce and Melissa were tasked with the daunting assignment of opening the honesty box.
Laying down on the floor of their cabin with a platter of fruit nearby, Bryce asked Melissa: ‘What were your first impressions when you first laid eyes on me?’

Melissa said that she was instantly attracted to Bryce, and even turned to her grandparents with excitement.
Melissa then turned to Bryce and asked: ‘Am I your usual type?’
After taking a moment to think, Bryce responded: ‘It’s a tough question. I’ll be completely honest. Not 100 per cent.
‘I’ve always gone for the blonde hair, blue eyes, tanned kind of girl, and someone that’s, like, usually taller.’

Bryce then confessed to his bride that he probably wouldn’t go up to her in a bar and buy her a drink.
A heartbroken Melissa began to cry, wiping tears away from her eyes.
‘But definitely when I first saw you, I was like… “You’re not my type, you have got blonde hair. She’s not ugly”,’ he continued.
Bryce’s candid admission left his bride speechless, and she later told a producer: ‘I don’t want to be that emotional girl, but it’s not a nice feeling.’

‘Were you hoping that I would say that you were the most gorgeous girl in the world?’ Bryce then asked her, before adding that he felt she looked hurt.
‘I can’t help the way you feel, except that maybe I probably wouldn’t have been intimate with you,’ she confessed.
Bryce and ex-fiancée Lana reportedly ended their five-year relationship last year, just months before he filmed MAFS.
