Married At First Sight’s Sam Carraro on Connie ‘Coco’ Stedman ‘worst one-liners’

Married At First Sight’s Sam Carraro opens up on his bizarre exchange at the altar with Coco Stedman – and says she has ‘the worst one-liners in history’

Boisterous Married at First Sight bride Connie ‘Coco’ Stedman has ‘some of the worst one liners in Australian history’.

That’s according to her groom Sam Carraro, who opened up on their bizarre exchange at the altar just hours after their TV wedding aired on Tuesday night.

Speaking on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa on Wednesday, the 32-year-old said he ‘didn’t know what was going on’ when his Sydney Pilates instructor bride, 30, started talking about music and protein cookies.

‘I didn’t really understand a lot of the things that she was saying. She was talking about trance music,’ he told Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.

‘I thought “oh god, she going to start shuffling!” I didn’t know what was going on.’

The Melbourne construction worker said he was put off by her ‘very extra’ behaviour and comments in front of friends and family.

‘On the day, when I had her in front of me carrying on, it was a little bit to deal with on the spot… Very extra,’ he said.

‘She actually told me she wanted to cook me protein cookies in those vows as well, and I thought “Oh my god, what have I got my hands on here?”.

‘She’s got some of the worst one-liners in Australian history, but she does mean well. She was very nervous as well.’

Sam was left speechless when his bride showcased her lively personality on Tuesday night’s episode.

‘Do you want me to be brutally honest? I don’t want to look like an a**hole,’ he told a producer who asked him why he was feeling ‘out of his comfort zone’.

‘I’ve just met her. She might be a really lovely person, but she’s definitely f**king extra and out there. She’s not my cup of tea.’
