Married At First Sight’s Cameron Dunne is unrecognisable as a bodybuilder

He’s the Gold Coast-based crane operator who married Canberra mother-of-two Samantha Jayne during Tuesday’s episode of Married At First Sight.

But long before making his debut in Channel Nine’s social experiment, Cameron Dunne looked incredibly different.

Prior to finding fame, the 32-year-old was a passionate bodybuilder who often tanned up and flexed his muscles on stage in national competitions.

In one throwback image from the IFBB Pro League Championships in 2017, Cameron looked unrecognisable while smothered in fake tan.

Muscles appear more prominent on darker skin than on lighter skin, hence why bodybuilders often apply a heavy tan before competitions and photo shoots.

Cameron’s veins were very prominent as he flaunted his incredibly shredded torso, which had minimum body fat.

Just two months before the event, Cameron had shared a selfie to Instagram in which he showed off his bulging physique.

‘Those flat days someone give me carbs,’ he captioned the post.

Cameron competed in national bodybuilding competitions for more than a decade.

A year after the 2017 event, he bulked up his body to a staggering 115kg in an attempt to increase his muscle mass.

While he’s no longer bodybuilding, Camera’s gym-honed physique was still apparent when he made his debut on Married At First Sight this week.

Cameron recently told New Idea he was now living with former Married At First Sight star Jessika Power on the Gold Coast.

‘Jess is actually my housemate – we currently live together on the Gold Coast… I’m quite close to her brother, Rhyce, so it kind of just happened from there,’ he said.

Previously based in Victoria, his move to Queensland suggests he’s no longer with ‘wife’ Samantha, who lives in Canberra with her children.
