Posting to her Instagram stories, Jessica admitted she planned on making the carb-loaded dish for dinner and wanted to make a headpiece that mirrored the Italian meal.

The nifty journalist began the process by using a soft pizza-hat as a base, and then stitched metres of yellow wool to it in a bid to mimic the appearance of pasta.

‘What has been concerning me is “What am I going to make the mince with?” The meat part… So I’ve decided to use the polystyrene balls that are inside my daughter’s beanbags.’

She even uploaded a photograph alongside her husband Peter Overton helping her.

‘Long suffering husband trying to open the bean bag,’ she captioned the image.
