On Monday’s A Current Affair, host Tracy Grimshaw introduced the footage, where candid confessions were made by the unlucky-in-love stars before the series kicked off.

Brisbane native Jason Engler didn’t hold back when describing who he wanted to be matched with.

The 35-year-old also had a very specific – albeit bizarre – request about what he was looking for in a partner.

‘My ideal in looks would be brunette, shorter than me, fit, nice teeth and feet. I hate ugly feet,’ he said.

Coco Stedman claimed she is a ‘decent package’ but confessed she loved her job as a Pilates studio owner more than her former fiancé.

‘My fiancé knew I loved my job more than him because your job isn’t going to wake up and tell you he doesn’t love you anymore.’

‘I’m one of those people who are independent but want to be with someone. Don’t tell me what to do but tell me what to do. I know that I am a pretty decent package.’

Meanwhile, radio presenter Bryce Ruthven claimed he doesn’t use dating apps and likes meeting people the old fashioned way.

‘If you can’t go and meet someone out in everyday life than you probably deserve to be single,’ he said.

Psych graduate Beth Moore, 39, also expressed her desire to meet her match and to have a family.

‘There is apart of me that has to accept it might not happen at my age but I’ve always felt sad about the thought of not having a child. I do have a lot of love to give.’

Meanwhile, controversial bride Rebecca ‘Beck’ Zemek, 27, admitted she can be quite flirtatious.

Joanne Todd also described herself as ‘cute but psycho’ and said she ‘hates her life at the moment.’

While Belinda Vickers expressed her desire to meet someone after admitting she’s never had a boyfriend.

‘At this age I thought maybe [never being in a relationship] has something to do with my personality. From my friends point of view, they find my voice annoying.’

Married At First Sight groom Russell Duance spoke about his split to his ex-wife after just one year of marriage.

‘I got married in 2015 and we split up in 2015. Technically married her twice because I met her in Vegas in August,’ he explained.
