She’s been keeping up her exercise regime during the pandemic.

The actress, 55, didn’t give any details about her accident but did post a video clip to Instagram showing her slowly and painfully walking on crutches.

In the video, Shields wore a hospital gown and non-slip socks as she moved very cautiously along a hospital corridor.

‘Broke my femur,’ She explained. ‘Beginning to mend.’

She then added: ‘No matter what your challenge is, make a positive choice, for yourself, to move forward. #BeginningisNow.’

She explained she’s only allowed to put about 20 percent of her full body weight on her fractured thighbone.

‘The goal is to bend your knee each time like a little bit, just so you’re not dragging it or hitching up your hip,’ she said.

‘People my age can get crossed off at a certain point – like you’ve had a good run, you’ve had your kids, you’ve had your career, you’re done,’ she said.

‘We can really inspire each other right now to do something within our power to feel better.’
