‘Feed The People in Dallas, their whole mantra is solidarity, not charity, and just a reminder this could be you, this could be me, this could be any of us,’ she said.

At least 11 people have died as temperatures dropped as low as -2 Fahrenheit, which enacted a state of emergency on Tuesday across all 254 counties in Texas as snow and ice blanket the state.

‘The next place that I’m going to be donating to is the Houston Food Bank,’ she added. ‘They can provide 30 meals with a $10 donation.’

She added celeb-favorite Baby2Baby to her list of contributions as people are on the ground providing ‘winter coats, formula and diapers’ to anyone in need.

The Younger star noted that ‘Free Lunch’ in Austin is a ‘little more grassroots’ than food banks, ‘but they do amazing work,’ she insisted.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Hilary wrote:  ‘Truly horrible conditions sweeping many states including my home state … beautiful Texas. I’m in disbelief talking to my family who have no power/ no water and running low on food. Not to mention no heat or reprieve from the cold!

‘I wish thoughts and prayers were enough…. but everyone needs more than that right now. This past year has hit so many… so hard, I don’t know how or why this can be added to people already struggling or suffering. Breaks my heart.’

Hilary is expecting her second child with husband Matthew Koma and shares her seven-year-old son, Luca, with ex Mike Comrie.
