VW Golf flies through the air after striking parked car

VW flies through air and smashes into parked vehicles after colliding with another car as it sped across junction into ‘no entry’ street

This is the heartstopping moment a driver speeds across a junction into the path of another vehicle and is sent spinning into rows of parked cars.

CCTV footage from the scene in Bradford, West Yorkshire, shows the car drive over a junction where it is struck and the driver loses control.

The white VW Golf then spins past ‘no entry’ signs and strikes a parked Honda Civic on its right hand side, before pirouetting across the road to hit two other vehicles, including a VW Passat on the one-way street.

Remarkably, the passenger of the VW Golf is shown getting out of the badly damaged car and walking a short distance towards the driver of the car it collided with on the junction.

The footage cuts before the passenger and what appears to be the driver of Golf return to their vehicle.

The driver then drives off their wrecked car down the road, driving the wrong way up the one-way street.

A second camera angle reveals the extent of damage inflicted on the VW Golf.

The badly damaged Golf’s rear bumper was hanging off as a result of the collision.

The clip was shared on Facebook by a local page who captioned their post: ‘Trying to park up on Woodland Street off White Abbey Road.’

A photo of the scene reveals that there are ‘no-entry’ signs on the other side of the ‘give way’ signs visible in the CCTV.

One Facebook user, Susan Lillie Joans said of the occupants of the cars: ‘Oh my. They were lucky to be walking.’

Nasmin Miah wrote: ‘How can they just casually just walk off!! This is disgraceful.’

John Bedworth added: ‘That’s what happens when you think you can just drive straight over and not check.’
