Nasser Sultan slams the new season of ‘Married At First White’ for casting ‘Gold Coast housewives’ and ‘suburban husbos’ that ‘look the same’

Channel Nine recently unveiled the first batch of brides and grooms for Married At First Sight’s eighth season.

And on Thursday, former participant Nasser Sultan slammed the show’s casting, claiming ‘they all look the same’.

Uploading a photo of the show’s new brides and grooms, Nasser wrote: ‘Married At First White – the most culturally diverse season yet.’

‘Gold Coast housewives meet suburban husbos,’ he added.

He concluded with the hashtags #diversity and #samesame.

The post was quickly inundated with similar comments, including one from former Bachelor star Jamie Doran, who wrote, ‘MAFS(C) – Married All For Some Clout,’ which appeared to be a dig at the show’s new cast.

The casting has already been heavily criticised by fans on social media.

Last week, reality TV sleuth account BachieGossip shared a meme comparing the newly announced cast to white bread.

Many viewers have since complained that the social experiment appears to lack any real racial diversity, with most of the participants being white.

One fan asked on Twitter: ‘Is basically every bride and groom… white?’

Several others claimed they wouldn’t watch Married At First Sight this year because of the apparent ‘whitewashing’ of the cast.

‘Not going to watch… where’s the diversity?’ one wrote.

Several viewers simply resorted to sarcasm, with one critic writing: ‘Wow, I just love the diversity you have portrayed here!’

There may be more racial diversity to come, however, as Channel Nine hasn’t revealed the entire cast yet.
