Patsy Kensit has revealed she’s suffering from empty nest syndrome during lockdown since her children have moved out.
The soap actress, 52, has two adult sons, James, 27, with Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr, and Lennon, 21, her child with Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher.
She has admitted that she has been feeling an ‘ache’ in her heart as her sons have grown up and moved out.

In an interview with OK! magazine, Patsy said: ‘It’s so painful I can’t tell you. Everyone’s emotional at the moment, aren’t they? Every day it’s been really hard.
‘I don’t let the boys know that but I know they feel it because they’re constantly checking in.
‘They have their own lives but I’m not going to lie, there’s an ache in my heart.’
The mother-of-two has recently shared throwback pictures of her two sons on her Instagram page, showing a young James as well as Lennon with her cat, Bowie.

The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress admits that she still thinks of her sons as ‘babies’ a year after they moved out.
She said: ‘It’s been over a year but I keep thinking of them as babies, how they’ve grown up so quickly and, “Did I enjoy the moment as much as I should have?”
‘You think, “Why was I cross about laundry on the floor?” All these things that drive you insane.
‘I’ve been saying to the boys, “Come over and make a mess.” It’s been really tough and I don’t feel weak saying that.

However, the doting mother said she would never want her boys to feel held back from living their lives with her in the empty nest.
‘I would hate for them to think they can’t go forth and conquer,’ she said. ‘They’re in my heart and soul and I adore them.’
Patsy, who has been married and divorced four times, was coy when asked if she had been trying to find love during lockdown.
She said: ‘There’s so much I could say but I can’t… Only because I’ve worked hard on having a personal life, because it puts too much pressure on relationships.
I’ve had relationships end because the other person wants their own privacy – but everything’s great.’
The Strictly star was married first to musician Dan Donovan from 1988 to 1991. She then wed Scottish singer Jim Kerr from 1992 to 1996 and had one son, James, born in 1993.

Patsy was then married to Liam Gallagher between 1997 and 2000 and had one son – Lennon, born in 1999.
The rocker fathered Molly, 21, in 1998 with Lisa Moorish during his marriage to the actress.
Patsy went on to have a relationship with DJ Jeremy Healy but split after announcing their engagement in 2007.
The couple later reunited and wed in 2009 before getting divorced a year later.
