Will the experts get it right? New Married At First Sight groom Jason Engler, 35, says he is scared he will never become a father after he was cheated on by three of his exes

One of the new Married At First Sight grooms has revealed his fears of missing out on fatherhood after being cheated on by three of his ex girlfriends.  

Construction estimator Jason Engler speaks about his past relationship woes in a promo for the Channel Nine social experiment, which premieres on Monday night. 

‘I can imagine being a dad, but I’m getting on in years now. So whether that’s a possibility I don’t know,’ he says in a piece-to-camera.

Jason explains that he’s been watching all of his friends’ children growing into their teenage years, and is scared ‘he has missed the boat’. 

‘All my mates, their kids are like 10. I’ve missed the boat,’ he muses. 

‘If experts can’t get it right, can’t match me with someone and I can’t do it, I’ll probably say there’s no hope left for me, to be honest with you.’   

Jason has previously revealed how he was cheated on by three of his exes prior to applying for the show.

Jason is expected to face plenty of drama on the series. He has already shared a clip of himself ‘dropping the mic’ to his Instagram page.    

Meanwhile, the tradie has already been spotted filming scenes around Sydney, where the series follows couples in their serviced apartments.

Speaking at Nine’s Upfronts, a network executive said that the ‘Zoom casting process uncovered the most genuine cast yet’.     

They added that the 2021 series will be ‘about finding love, not fame’.
