Jessica Brody brands Matt Agnew as ‘condescending’ two years after starring on The Bachelor

Former Bachelor star Jessica Brody reveals the one surprising trait about Matt Agnew that turned her off him when they had a conversation

She believed their similar interests would help her find love with Matt Agnew on the seventh season of The Bachelor in 2019.

But two years on from appearing on the dating series, Jessica Brody has revealed that she was immediately turned off upon speaking to the 32-year-old for the first time because of a surprising behavioural trait.

‘I was super excited Matt was my Bachelor because he’s an astrophysicist and that’s my thing. That’s the thing I love,’ the 31-year-old told her Instagram followers via her Stories on Tuesday.

‘But, yeah, no, not compatible at all. We had one conversation and I found him very condescending… and I’m [Matt’s ex-girlfriend] Chelsie [McLeod’s] friend, so no.’

The mismatch was despite Jessica being ‘super interested’ in physics and ‘how everything works’, and Matt being an astrophysicist.

‘I am enthralled with space so astrophysics is definitely my area,’ Jessica, who also appeared on Bachelor In Paradise, told her followers in a separate post.

The inked beauty’s confession follows Jessica growing her ink collection by tattooing the name of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Abbie Chatfield, 25, on her body in January.

The tattoo was positioned on the inside of Jessica’s left wrist and read: ‘SMS ABBIE 1995 1010’.

‘@jessica_brody got a tattoo of SMS ABBIE 1995 1010 to help @dementia_australia so if you don’t vote it means that she will have a permanent reminder,’ Abbie captioned a series of photos of her friend’s piece to Instagram on January 29.

She added: ‘Don’t let this flop. Vote for Jess’s sake.’
