Aldi to release an Easter treat for adults, a hot cross bun flavoured gin for only $20

Aldi supermarkets have released an exciting new Easter treat, with adults in mind.  

The Australian stores are gifting gin lovers a new Hot Cross Bun flavoured Gin Liqueur as part of its upcoming Easter Special Buys range, 7 News reported. 

The small-batch liqueur is described as a ‘sensational spicy gin, infused with nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and gingers flavours’. 

Adults can expect the ‘rich, fruity taste of hot cross buns in a glass’ for only $19.99, available for purchase on February 24. 

‘We are proud of the quality and affordable products we bring customers, but also the innovative and unique range we can offer Australians – and the Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur is no exception,’ Aldi Australia shopping expert Nicole Higgins said.

‘Crafted with the traditional spices found in your favourite Easter treat, simply mix with soda, sparkling wine or serve on the rocks.’ 

The gin liqueur was produced in the UK by Manchester Drinks Co and was released for the first time this year, with the limited edition item suspected to sell out fast. 

In addition to the flavoured tipple, Aldi will release two varieties of premium Hot Cross Buns as part of its Easter range. 

Specially Selected Brioche Hot Cross Buns and Specially Selected Fruit Hot Cross Buns are available in four packs and retail for $2.99 each. 

‘For an extra Easter indulgence, why not pair with Aldi’s delicious Specially Selected Traditional Fruit or Brioche Hot Cross Buns for a perfect desert pairing, available in store now,’ Ms Higgins said.
