Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger expanded their family by one on Sunday when they welcomed home their first child.
The two American soccer stars were overjoyed in dueling Instagram posts as they shared their adorable new daughter Sloane.
The athletes, both 36, adopted the little girl just two days after she was born on February 12.

Ashlyn and Ali shared that baby Sloane was a respectable 6lbs and 11oz at birth.
They were remarkably open about having adopted a child, and both included a special message to their daughter’s birth mother in their captions.
‘Dear Birth Mom, Our promise: We promise Sloane will be loved every single day by us, our friends and our family,’ the two women wrote.
‘We promise to give her the tools to live a happy, successful life of inclusivity and support. We promise to share her adoption story with her from the very beginning and celebrate every milestone! We promise to encourage her to follow her dreams no matter how big or small. We promise to be open minded and respect your wishes to have future communication and that she will always know how much you love her!’

Ashlyn shared an image of the two mothers standing in the hospital entranceway with Sloane in her carrier while Ali held bags of clothing and supplies for her.
Ashlyn wore a green T-shirt and dark jeans with a cool black fedora, while Ali was more casual with a white T-shirt, black jeans and a gray backpack.
The loved-up couple beamed down on Sloane while Ashlyn held her as the baby girl looked up at one of her mothers.
Part of Ashlyn’s caption was addressed to Ali.
‘My heart is exploding with Joy. We did it, baby!’ she gushed.
‘All of the ups and downs, tears, stress and anxiety was worth it to have this beautiful blessing in our arms. We are building what we’ve always dreamt of. You both are my everything and I promise to always do right by the both of you. I love you so much.’

In her own post, Ali shared an identical message to Sloane’s birth mother, but she also included a special message to her new daughter and to her wife.
‘Welcome to our family, Sloane Phillips.. we are so in love with you already! This has been one of the most beautiful yet stressful processes I’ve ever experienced with you, @ashlynharris24 and I love you even more throughout this journey, if that’s even possible,’ she wrote.
‘When we first dated, we always spoke about adoption and always wanted to give a child a loving, happy and stable home. I cannot wait to give her the world and be the best Mom I can be with you right by my side❤️.’

Their first photo was an adorable glimpse of their daughter as she snoozed while she was swaddled in a white blanket with yellow floral designs on it.
The US women’s national soccer team players received an avalanche of congratulations in the comments from celebrities.
Sophia Bush wrote: ‘Oh Ash! Ali!! This is everything! What a lucky lady she is, to have you two be her mommas. Love love love to little Sloane!’
