Ellie Young has announced that she’s engaged to Matt Clow.
The Ibiza Weekender star took to Instagram on Sunday, to share the happy news with her followers after the candlelit Valentine’s Day proposal at home, and explained that it was extra special because it was also her mum and dad’s anniversary.
Ellie, 27, shared a video of the romantic moment and a series of photographs of herself of Matt celebrating their engagement, less than a year after they went public with their on-off relationship.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Ellie shared a video of Matt’s romantic proposal, which saw him cover a room in the house in tealight candles and draped red material as he transformed it into ‘Mattnagerie’.
He placed photographs of them all around, wrote out “I luv u” in candles and scattered red rose petals over the floor.
Her now-husband-to-be chose Ariana Grande’s song Stuck With U to accompany the moment and Ellie could be seen in floods of tears as Matt got down on one knee to propose.
Ellie wrote alongside the video: ‘The proposal. Today’s my mum and dads wedding anniversary and the love of my life asked me to marry him…

Matt and Ellie first met when they went to the same school, but were never friends. After embarking on a relationship in 2020, Ellie ghosted Matt two months in.
But after spending the majority of 2020 apart, the pair decided to make a go of things and Ellie moved into his flat.
