Pink and her daughter Willow star in the sepia-toned video for their new duet Cover Me In Sunshine

Pink and her daughter Willow Sage Hart followed up the release of their new duet Cover Me In Sunshine on Friday with a sweet video featuring the two playing outdoors.

The 41-year-old singer took to Instagram on Friday morning to announce the release of the pastoral themed music video.

‘Willow and I had so much fun filming this one… Cover Me In Sunshine video is here!’ she gushed in her caption. 

Amid the opening acoustic guitar notes, the singer (real name: Alecia Beth Moore) and Willow can be seen walking down a road toward the horizon, looking like Charlie Chaplin and Paulette Godard at the end of Modern Times.

Adding to the old-time movie feel was the use of a relatively square aspect ratio, along with an amber filter and fake film grain. 

The two were surrounded by a grape vines, which was presumably Pink’s own vineyard just north of Santa Barbara in Southern California.

As Pink sings, ‘I’ve been dreaming friendly faces,’ Willow, nine, picks eggs from the chicken coop and holds one of the puffy birds.

‘Just imagine people laughing,’ the singer continues over lovely footage of her and Willow embracing each other in closeup with the sun creating a lens flare.

The mother-daughter duo then danced on a dock, which had an abandoned bath tub on it that Pink sat in.

The pop superstar was dressed in a black dress covered in white floral patterns that matched the nature theme of the clip, while Willow was dressed more casually in overalls and a white floral-print T-shirt. 

Both women had their hair styled short, with Pink rocking her standard blonde pixie cut swept to the side, while her daughter had short brown tresses.

Pink initially carried the duet herself, but then she and Willow joined together on the chorus toward the middle of the song.

Her daughter showed off her own vocal skills as she finished off the song on a sweet note. 

On Friday, RCA Records released the music-only version of the three-time Grammy winner cheery duet.

At the time, Get The Party Started singer shared a video explaining why she and her mini-me daughter recorded the track in their $12M four-bedroom Santa Ynez home.

‘So we all know this year has been different and challenging and, at times, terrifying and tumultuous and angsty and all the things. I personally find comfort in music. I find comfort in song. I love singing with my daughter,’ Pink — who boasts 81.4M social media followers — said.  

‘It made us feel happy. So we’re going to put it out for no other reason than that we hope that the song makes you feel happy. I thought we’d put it out around Valentine’s Day as a big ol’ hug and a kiss from us to all of y’all.’

The Lady Marmalade alumna then announced that the official music video for Cover Me In Sunshine will premiere Friday morning at 7am PST.

Pink originally teased the song on Monday after joining the popular ByteDance video-sharing social networking service, TikTok.

The chorus goes: ‘Cover me in sunshine / Shower me in good times / Tell me that the world’s been spinning / Since the beginning and everything will be alright / Just cover me in sunshine.’ 

The Two Wolves Winery owner and little Willow previously performed The Christmas Song during The Disney Holiday Singalong, which aired November 30 on ABC.

But the mother-daughter duo first collaborated on the songs A Million Dreams and A Million Dreams (Reprise) from The Greatest Showman: Reimagined soundtrack back in 2018.

Pennsylvania-born Pink is also mother to four-year-old son Jameson Moon — who’s ‘going to be in a metal band’ — from her 15-year marriage to retired motocross racer Carey Hart.
