Jay Leno proved he’s willing to sacrifice himself for one of his beloved vintage cars, avoiding a near collision on Tuesday.

The 70-year-old comedian and avid car collector was filming his CNBC series Jay Leno’s Garage in Malibu, with what appeared to be a classic 1964 Corvette.

While he was filming a segment near Neptune’s Net in Malibu, the car of the man he was chatting with started rolling towards his powder blue Vette, as he got in front of the rolling car to avoid a collision.

Leno was in his Corvette when another man in a two-tone red and black Lexus stopped to say something to Leno.

Unfortunately, the other man’s Lexus wasn’t in park, as his car started slowly rolling towards Leno’s pristine Corvette.

The talk show host wasted no time leaping out of his Corvette and using his strength to stop the Lexus from hitting his car, before the other man was able to put it in park.

Leno took the whole incident in stride, seen chatting with the man on picnic tables after the incident.

He was spotted wearing a navy blue top under a dark plaid suit coat, along with jeans and black boots.

A silver watch was seen peeking out from under his suit coat as he filmed Jay Leno’s Garage.
