She rose to prominence in the 1990s, becoming one of the most popular models of her time.

And Helena Christensen showcased her incredible figure on Thursday as she bravely stripped down to a lilac bikini for a woodland walk with her dog Kuma.

The supermodel, 52, displayed her long legs and peachy derriere in the bandeau two-piece as she ran barefoot across the snow.

In another shot, Helena crouched down by a frozen puddle and looked at her beloved Australian Shepherd who was lying in the snow.

She simply captioned the post: ‘Ice hole search’.

The fashionista also uploaded on her Instagram stories a mirror selfie and showed off her toned abs in the ribbed bikini top.

A couple of years ago Helena, who has also broken into photography, gushed in the Guardian that she and her son Mingus, 21, are ‘so in love’ with Kuma.

‘Getting our dog was absolutely the best thing I have done in my life besides having my son,’ she said.

‘Mentally, she makes me feel so much better. She sleeps in the bed with me. When I’m on trips I listen to recordings of her snoring.

‘If I am feeling anxious, like at an airport, I listen to it over and over. It’s like meditation.’

Helena previously spoke about how she loves to swim in rivers and lakes to keep fit.

She told MailOnline in 2019: ‘I think it’s important to shake it up and do as many different forms of workout as possible, but also to incorporate nature into them,’ she said.

‘Swim in the ocean, swim in rivers, swim in lakes. Hiking, trekking, chopping wood – it’s the best way of working out, because it doesn’t really feel like a workout. It feels like you’re alive,’ Helena explained.
