Honest: Iskra Lawrence has discussed her experiences with period bloating since giving birth to her son in a candid post she shared on Wednesday

She wrote: ‘We’re all family so here I am on my third period postpartum loving on my body unapologetically.

‘I was anxious and dreading what my first period would be like after birth. Some people said it was 6 weeks, 3 months or some said it took 2 years soooo that was reassuring.

‘So the day before thanksgiving I got an early prezzie from Mother Nature and I was 7 months PP. It wasn’t too bad and I was super relieved, tracked it and thought ok so back to regular proceedings.

‘Well Christmas Day hit and the period pains, cramps, tiredness HIT like a MF Took me out for about 3 days (I’m sure you can relate) then this month I was 2 weeks late and got worried all over again.

‘So I guess I’m sharing this to normalise and celebrate all our bodies go through and to remind you and your body you’re incredible! And hoping you give yourself some love today too❤️’.

Iskra welcomed her son with boyfriend Philip Payne in April last year.

The star spoke about her return to modelling on Instagram last month and how she is ‘still getting used this new body that’s stretched, widened, and feels softer’.

‘After birth I’m also reborn. A new chance to fall in love with a new me. A new house to make a home.

‘A new me to grow into and nurture. So here we are, creating new images together. Celebrating the new me.’

The model recently admitted that her exercise regime hasn’t been ‘consistent’ since giving birth but said she was ‘in awe’ that her body has given her the gift of motherhood.
