Her historical drama series has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including three Golden Globes as well as Screen Actors Guild awards. 

And Elle Fanning drummed up excitement for the second season of her Hulu period spectacle The Great on Tuesday, when she uploaded an amazing image in character to her Instagram.

In the photo, Fanning, 22, stood in front of some window drapes in an aqua corset that allowed an ultra-realistic and large baby bump to be front and center.

She wore white linen pants that were open to allow her belly to protrude. 

The Super 8 star had her hands on her hips, and she regarded the camera with a knowing smile.  

Her blonde hair was up in a lavish bun with ringlets hanging down. 

She had on a delicate necklace.

She added the hashtags #TheGreat as well as #firstlook.

In the show, Elle portrays Catherine the Great, in Russia during the 18th century. 

The tone of the series is somewhat lighter than previous depictions of the period.

Costarring alongside Fanning is X-Men star Nicholas Hoult.

The Great has been nominated for Golden Globes including best television series, musical or comedy, along with acting nods for both Fanning and Hoult.

Nicholas has also been recognized with a nomination for a SAG award, as has the ensemble as a whole. 

The show was additionally nominated for two Primetime Emmy awards last fall, for both writing and directing in the comedy category, however it lost to Schitt’s Creek as that series swept the awards.
