Pedro Pascal shows support for sister Lux after she comes out as transgender: ‘Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux’

Pedro Pascal is sharing his support for sister Lux after she’s publicly come out as a transgender woman on Tuesday.

The Mandalorian star, 45, posted a stunning image of his sister posing on the cover of Ya magazine along with a heartfelt caption in his native Spanish.

‘Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,’ he shared, which translates to, ‘my sister, my heart, our Lux.’

In the profile Lux opens up about her transition journey, sharing that she began receiving hormone treatment in July. 

‘My transition has been something that’s very natural for everyone in my family,’ Lux said. ‘It’s almost something that they expected to happen.’

She is currently studying acting at the Juilliard School, hoping to follow in her brother’s footsteps.

And Lux – who is one of four siblings – said that Pedro’s support ‘has been an important part of this.

‘He’s also an artist and has served as a guide for me. He was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity.’   

She recalled when she revealed her gender identity to him over FaceTime, saying the Wonder Woman 1984 actor ‘asked me how I felt, because I remember he was a little worried.’

Upon hearing she was happy, he showed his full support, telling her: ‘Perfect, this is incredible.’

Before coming out as transgender, Lux said she identified as non-binary which eventually lead her to realize she was a woman.

‘Moving through the world as a woman is much more simple for me, but I still advocate for nonbinary identities to have a space in society,’ she explained.    

And now Lux says she’s eager to fight for the rights of the trans community. 

‘We need trans activists who are good, smart, informed and who can be strong voices against transphobia, homophobia and racism,’ she said.
