Maisie Smith wears a mini skirt while larking around in the freezing snow

She’s reportedly planning to crack Hollywood after quitting EastEnders and finishing her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

And Maisie Smith appeared to be in great spirits as she took some time away from work and larked around in the freezing snow on Sunday.

The actress, 19, interestingly opted for a blue mini skirt for her seasonal photoshoot, flaunting her toned bare legs as she posed up a storm a wood.

Maisie beamed a smile as she posed while kicking a leg in one snap before putting on an animated display and sticking out her tongue in another.

She donned a navy blue Looney Tunes sweatshirt for the outing which she wore over a white shirt with a blue trim collar.

The beauty also paired her pleated mini skirt with a pair of white knee-high socks and high-top trainers.

Revealing she had a few minor regrets about choosing fashion over warmth with her outfit, she penned: ‘Should I have worn a skirt in the snow? absolutely not.’ 

It comes after Maisie sent her former Strictly Come Dancing co-star HRVY a flirty happy birthday message last month. 

The pair reportedly grew close while taking part in the 18th series of the long-running BBC show, during which they both reached the grand finale. 

And Maisie was among those wishing YouTube star- real name Harvey Cantwell – all the best as he celebrated his 22nd birthday in lockdown. 

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a photo of his legs in a pair of colourful tie-dye joggers and blue trainers, with the accompanying caption: ‘Happy birthday @HRVY U R just too cold boy.’  

HRVY later reposted the image for his own followers while playfully urging former EastEnders star Maisie to ‘stop.’  

The pair were reportedly seen kissing backstage in the Strictly studios after the series’ grand finale, having been unable to mix while filming due to strict social distancing measures. 

A source has since claimed the pair are planning to meet up if restrictions are lifted, but could still make contact by forming a support bubble.  

They told The Sun: ‘Maisie and Hrvy has been brewing for weeks. The pair are so flirty together, and genuinely have a real laugh whenever they see one another. 

‘But they were always really disciplined about not crossing any lines whilst the show was filming.

‘While, technically, they may not have been practising social distancing, they are both young and this was before Tier 4 restrictions came into play.’ 

Also in January, MailOnline exclusively revealed that Maisie is set to quit EastEnders after 13 years on the soap.

Sources close to the star told MailOnline she’s increasingly unlikely to extend her current contract when it expires in October, with bosses set to use her exit as part of the soap’s dramatic Christmas storylines.

Maisie, who joined EastEnders when she was just six, has ambitions of starring on the big-screen and is hoping to crack Hollywood with a major film role.

A source said: ‘Starring in movies is a personal goal and seeing how well Ben [Hardy] and Himesh [Patel] have done, it’s given her hope she could be the next box office star from EastEnders.  

‘The only stumbling block is whether COVID-19 and the knock-on effect of the pandemic will dilute the pool of acting opportunities. If it remains bleak, the sensible move might be staying put for another year. But the intention is to leave in October.’  

Maisie’s profile rocketed following her appearance on the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing in which she finished runner-up to winner Bill Bailey.
