Sam Armytage jokes her portly dog Banjo is going to steal her breakfast

‘Ever feel like your food is being watched?’ Sunrise host Sam Armytage jokes that her portly Labrador Banjo is going to steal her breakfast

Sam Armytage’s dog Banjo loves his food.

And it seems the Sunrise host, 44, is starting to get nervous eating in front of the portly pup, whom she adopted in October 2019.

In a humorous post to Instagram on Friday, Sam captured the moment she caught Banjo staring wistfully at her breakfast.

How cute is this! She has loved her dog, Banjo (pictured), since adopting him in October 2019. But it appears the Labrador is getting a little too close for comfort for Samantha Armytage, who took to Instagram on Friday to comment on the fact she was always ‘being watched’

‘Ever feel like your food is being watched?’ Sam captioned her post, adding a laughing-face emoji.

In the picture, Banjo sat with his tongue as he patiently waited for scraps.

Sam was out for breakfast with her husband, Richard Lavender, 60, whom she married in the Southern Highlands on New Year’s Eve.

They exchanged vows in a ceremony at his home shortly before midday, then moved to a luncheon at the Centennial Vineyards Restaurant in Bowral.

Samantha wore a white long-sleeve dress by Carla Zampatti, and teamed her outfit with a matching ribbon in her hair.

The intimate ceremony featured only a small number of guests due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with Richard’s daughters, Sasha and Grace, believed to be in attendance.

A source told Daily Mail Australia of the nuptials: ‘Champagne was flowing, and at one point they had several waiters attending to their every need.

‘However, they didn’t get any VIP treatment, and while they were away from other guests, they were sitting among locals and tourists.’

Samantha and Richard started dating in April 2019, and announced their engagement in June last year.
