With nearly half of the first season behind us, Marvel is getting fans ready for the back half of WandaVision with an intriguing new trailer.

The show follows Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they settle down in the mysterious town of Westview.

Throughout the first four episodes, fans have seen this couple presented through the tropes of 1950s, 1960s and 1970s sitcoms, with the trailer (via Marvel YouTube) showcasing a shift into the 1980s and 1990s, plus their version of Halloween.

The trailer begins with ‘Geraldine’ a.k.a. Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) being forcefully ejected from Westview by Wanda’s mystical powers.

Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), who starred in the first two Thor movies, returns to examine the Westview anamoly, with S.W.O.R.D. director Tyler Hayward (Josh Stamberg) stating they now have, ‘first-person intel’ from inside.

After her trip inside, Monica is seen getting a medical scan of some kind, as FBI agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) wonders if Westview is an, ‘alternate reality’ or perhaps even ‘time travel.’

Darcy simply retorts, ‘It’s a sitcom,’ as Woo adds, ‘Starring two Avengers?’ as Darcy admits it’s merely, ‘a working theory.’

The trailer shows footage from the first four episodes with Wanda and Vision in the 1950s, 1960s  and 1970s, plus bits of footage featuring their neighbor Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) dressed in 1980s and 1990s attire.

Wanda says that, ‘life moves pretty fast out in the suburbs,’ which could possibly be a reference to a classic line from the 1986 classic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

One of the most intriguing shots from the trailer features Vision dressed up in a crude green and yellow costume of himself, for Halloween, complete with a cape.

Vision is heard saying, ‘I think something is wrong here,’ when Agnes in her 80s garb asks if, ‘we should just take it from the top,’ indicating that she knows this is a sitcom.

Agnes was seen in an earlier episode talking to Herb (David Payton) where she indicated that everyone in town was different somehow though wouldn’t elaborate.

Wanda is seen watching the walls of her home change rapidly, as she’s heard saying, ‘I don’t know how any of this started,’ as she re-arranges her home.

Vision is seen walking to the bizarre border of his town, asking, ‘What is outside Westview,’ while an intriguing tagline reads, ‘Life could be perfect when it’s made just for you.’

The trailer ends with Wanda seemingly in a reality TV-style confessional, speaking directly into the camera saying, ‘Yeah I’m not sure what that’s about, probably just a case of the Monday’s,’ a possible reference to the 1999 film Office Space.

WandaVision continues with the fifth episode of its nine-episode season on Friday, February 5 only on Disney Plus.
