Rag’n’Bone Man says police visited his home after neighbour thought he was having a birthday party

Rag’n’Bone Man has claimed that police visited his home over the weekend after a neighbour mistakenly though he was having a birthday party amid the UK’s third national lockdown.

The singer, who recently turned 36, had to celebrate his birthday from the comfort of his own home on Friday, with only his housemate to keep him company.

Rag’n’Bone Man still wanted to make the most of his big day despite government guidelines, and he and his housemate opted for a karaoke session which went on during the night.

Unfortunately for him, one of his neighbours assumed that he was having a party because of the loud noise coming from his house, and reportedly called the police.

Due to lockdown restrictions, UK citizens have been ordered to stay at home and avoid mixing with others in large gatherings, in order to ease the spread of COVID-19.

As the police then turned up at Rag’n’Bone Man’s house, they then realised that it was only him and his housemate, and that there was no big birthday party taking place.

Rag’n’Bone Man then asked: ‘Who doesn’t like that song?’

Meanwhile, another follower added: ‘Happy birthday, some people just like to cause trouble, the same thing has happened to me twice.’

Rag’n’Bone Man previously revealed that the past year of lockdown and social distancing means fans will get to hear him belt out his rawest emotions.

He said: ‘We had quite a time to live with the songs this time around.

‘Too often, how I’d done things before, was that we’d written a song and I had to sing it the same day, and that was the version we’d use on the album.

‘This way, it was far easier to get real emotion into the music.’
