Married At First Sight’s Ashley Irvin has made it crystal clear her ex-‘husband’ Troy Delmege is just a friend and nothing more.
During a segment on A Current Affair on Thursday, the flight attendant, 31, denied rumours the pair had reconciled while filming the MAFS Grand Reunion last month.
Despite this, IT worker Troy, 38, hinted they had unfinished business, saying: ‘Ash is looking stunning, oh my goodness. I guess I do have a couple of regrets from my time on season five.’

‘It was great to see her and catch up; and hopefully that’s the start of a new connection, we can keep talking and see how it goes,’ he added.
Responding to Troy’s hopes for a reconciliation, Ashley jokingly awarded him an ‘A for effort’ but insisted they were friends and nothing more.
‘Did Troy actually say that? Bless his cotton socks. Love that guy. A for effort,’ she said.
Her stance is no surprise after Troy walked away from their romance during the final vows on the fifth season of Nine’s social experiment.

Troy then started dating co-star Carly Bowyer, who was initially paired with business owner Justin Fischer on their season, after photos of them kissing emerged.
Speaking to TV Week in March 2018, marketing manager Carly said Troy was her ‘type’ and that they were drawn to each other on the show.
‘Physically, Troy is my type. I do go for that preppy, private school-looking guy and Justin and I had a conversation about that,’ she said.

Carly will not be appearing alongside in the MAFS Grand Reunion because she just welcomed a child with her partner, Neil Goldsmith.
