Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo spoof Stranger Things in the hilarious first official trailer for their buddy movie Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar

They share twin Oscar nominations for writing the uproarious 2011 comedy Bridesmaids.

And now Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are back at it with an irreverent and fun-looking new funny movie, titled Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar.

The first official trailer for the film, which dropped Thursday, started off with a sly nod to another successful title that isn’t a comedy at all: Stranger Things.

The clip began with the unmistakable music and font from the uber-popular Netflix series, along with dimly lit establishing shots of a small town.

As title cards read, ‘Some things… can can’t be explained’ Mumolo’s Barb is seen sitting in her living room absently turning a lamp on and off.

Soon, Wiig’s Star enters frame and asks her what she’s doing.

From there, the energy changes to a fun and upbeat look at the pair of Midwestern best friends’ travels, which takes them to a fabulous beachside resort.

Among their adventures are hosting a ‘talking club’ where they serve hotdog soup (wretch), which is enjoyed by The Office’s Phyllis Smith as well as Trainwreck’s Vanessa Bayer along with Fortune Feimster.

They also get their portraits done on a pier, along with going on a souvenir shopping excursion as well as waterskiing.

The delightfully clueless duo’s adventures at the hotel see them cross paths with sexy fellow resort guest Jamie Dornan of Fifty Shades Of Grey, who is seen attempting to rip his T-shirt off on the beach multiple times.

Damon Wayans Jr. also stars in the film.
