Kate Moss and Lila at Fendi show in Paris

Kate Moss and her daughter Lila returned to the catwalk for designer Kim Jones’s first couture catwalk show for Fendi in Paris on Wednesday.

Kate, 47, put on a busty display in a plunging silver satin gown which had pretty embellishments by the hem and her lookalike daughter Lila, 18 looked incredible in a silver double layered beaded dress.

Models stayed socially distanced from one another amid the global coronavirus pandemic as they stood inside giant perspex letters which spelled out the word ‘Fendi’.

Showing her the ropes: Lila Moss, 18, and her mother Kate, wore silver showstopper gowns at designer Kim Jones’s first Fendi catwalk show in Paris on Wednesday – and models stayed socially distanced inside giant perspex letters

Kate and Lila stood alongside one another without breaking rules because they live in the same household.

Joining the pair was Cara Delevingne, 28, who went braless under a green sheer shirt and open patterned suit, while Naomi Campbell, 50, commanded attention in a metallic marble print dress which came complete with a dramatic cape.

The couture piece sheathed over Naomi’s slender fame and was made of a satin-type material.

Her hair was slicked back into a tight bun, with the catwalk queen sporting an elaborate headpiece which cascaded down her neck.

And while Naomi, Kate and Lila all wore dresses, Cara caught the eye in an androgynous camouflage suit.

Cara’s look was a stark contrast to the feminine gowns worn by some of the other models, as she wore a green and orange blazer with an oversized collar and camouflage print.

Cara’s hair was slicked back into a barely-there style aside from a 1920s quiff curl as she walked the runaway before posing in one of the show’s individual perspex letters.

Meanwhile Bella Hadid, 24, oozed sophistication in a black halterneck gown with a sheer overlay that flowed into a cape following her down the runway.

The model finished the ensemble with oversized earrings as she walked the catwalk in British designer Kim’s first ever show for the brand.

Demi Moore also made her mark in the style industry as she too joined the slew of models for the Fendi Spring-Summer 2021 presentation.

The actress, 58, caught the eye as she was dressed in a satin black blouse, complete with a peplum hemline.

Exuding edgy chic, the screen star’s shirt featured a low-cut neckline, which highlighted her cleavage.

The producer teamed the bold piece with a pair of wide-leg trousers and ensured focus remained on her outfit by opting for minimal jewellery.

Demi’s chained headpiece served as a statement accessory in her incredible look, while her youthful-looking complexion was accentuated with dewy make-up

British designer Jones, who joined Italian fashion house Fendi as its lead designer for womenswear in September 2020, and continues to fulfil his role as artistic director at Dior Men’s.

Jones succeeds the late Karl Lagerfeld in his Fendi role, which the designer held from the mid-1960s. Chanel designer Karl sadly died February 19, 2019.

Moss told Vogue ahead of the show: ‘I always wanted to wear his [Kim’s] menswear – and now he’s making womenswear!’

The supermodel was one of Jones’s muses for the latest collection, and one of his best friends, and the publication notes that she modelled his clothing at Charleston, in the March 2021 issue.

‘It’s quite a challenge,’ said Antoine Arnault, the LVMH group head of communications and chief executive of Berluti, who has known Mr. Jones since they worked together at Vuitton.

He told the New York Times: ‘Mr. Jones is one of our superstars. When you have a top footballer on your team, you want to let him play to to his full potential.’

Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Raf Simons and Hedi Slimane have all made the leap from menswear to womenswear.

The site reports that Fendi surpassed a billion euros in revenue in 2017 (about $1.2 billion) to become one of the more important brands in the LVMH portfolio.

The publication also reported the show is inspired by ‘Orlando’ and the whole Bloomsbury set.

He told the NY Times: ‘Couture is very personal. It is, after all, about garments made to order, for a single person. Orlando was demonstrably very personal to him. Hence couture equals Orlando.’

Kate’s daughter Lila made her catwalk debut for Miu Miu in October last year.

Earlier this month Kate admitted she was ‘so emotional’ watching her daughter follow in her footsteps.

She told the January issue of Vogue: ‘Yeah it was so emotional seeing Lila on the runway, it wasn’t emotional I was really nervous for her.

‘I was sitting on the kitchen table and Katie England was there and Rosemary, and other girlfriends, and we were waiting for the show to start on the link, and when she came out we were like [gasp] she’s doing it, she’s doing it! I was so proud.’

Lila burst onto the fashion scene when she signed to her mother’s agency and became the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty, after years out of the public eye.

‘When I met Lila Moss for the first time in 2008, I was on a holiday in Ibiza and went to Formentera for the day to visit with her mum, Kate Moss, and other friends and family,’ the designer said after announcing her addition to the books.

‘At just six years old, Lila’s strong character, demeanour and great beauty was already very apparent.

‘The next time I saw Lila was in August of 2011 at Kate’s wedding, her character was even more dynamic and her beauty even greater.’

In November, she shot her first solo magazine cover for Dazed – which is owned by her father, Jefferson Hack.

In a previous interview with Allure, Lila revealed how she became involved in the modelling world.

‘I think because I’ve seen it since I was so small it’s always been an interest,’ she said.

‘When I did my first modelling shoot, I was like, “Yeah I enjoyed it. I want to do more.” And I think it’s worked out really well.’
