Chris Ramsey’s wife Rosie reveals their newborn baby son Rafe has had treatment to fix his ‘pointed’ ears so he isn’t self-conscious in the future

Rosie Ramsey has revealed her newborn son Rafe has undergone treatment on his ‘ever so slightly pointed’ ears to reshape them so he isn’t self-conscious in years to come.

The podcaster, 33, who is married to comedian Chris Ramsey, 34, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share information about the procedure.

In the snaps, she shared a picture of three-week-old Rafe’s ear lobes before the treatment as well as a photo of Rafe sleeping after the treatment, with white tape over his ears.

She explained that although her newborn son’s ears were only slightly pointed, she hoped that the ‘simple’ treatment would fix them and ensure he wasn’t self-conscious in the future.

Rosie wrote: ‘This is Rafe’s little ear before. It’s just ever so slightly pointed at the top and the lobe sticks out ever so slightly.

‘Like I said yesterday it’s not actually that noticeable but if it can help at all so that it doesn’t bother him in years to come I think it’s worth doing.’

Baby Rafe is Rosie’s second child with comedian husband Chris and he was delivered via caesarian section earlier this month.

Instagram influencer Rosie told her 700,000 followers that she was told about the treatment at her local hospital and will return for a check-up in three weeks.

She said: ‘I received so many messages about Rafe’s ears yesterday.

‘It appears a lot of people weren’t offered the service at their own local hospital.

‘Luckily the service is available for parents to access online and do it themselves at home (the doctor told me this yesterday).

‘The doctor also said the earlier the better so they don’t try to pull it out or get it wet. I’m going back in two weeks to see how it’s getting on.’

Rosie included a link to a service called EarBuddies for her fans who were asking her about the treatment,

The site shows a picture of a baby’s ear before and after the treatment which they say is ‘a simple, affordable, life-changing solution to stick-out ears and ear shape problems’.

It has been a busy few weeks for the family, as earlier this month, Chris broke his ankle just days after his wife had given birth to their second son.

The comedian took to Instagram to share a snap of his leg in a black brace walker boot as he revealed that he had broken his ankle.

Sharing the snap of his ankle on his Instagram, he penned: ‘How to make your lockdown a million times worse.’

Rosie later explained that the injury was a ‘complete accident’ as he fell over while running around at the park, and somehow managed to drive home on his broken ankle.

The couple are also parents to son Robin, four, and tied the knot seven years ago in 2014.
