David Warner’s wife Candice has shot down rumours the WAGs of the Australian cricketing community are ‘feuding’ over a newspaper power-ranking article. 

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday, the 35-year-old former Ironwoman revealed that the rumours are completely made up and unfounded.

‘Yeah, some of the girls had a laugh about that,’ Candice said, as she promoted ABC Reading Eggs.

She said that the rumours of a feud, which originated in New Idea earlier this month, are so far fetched because the girls haven’t even seen each other recently due to Covid. 

‘Especially when this season, I don’t know how they did a story like that,’ Candice said. 

‘This season, none of us really spent time together because of Covid and cricket bubbles.’

She added: ‘And some people being able to go to some games and not being able to because they’re from different states. So it’s just complete rubbish.’

An insider claimed another WAG is now ‘determined to become number one’ in next year’s list and is ‘planning to rebuild herself and get back on top’. 

The article in question was published by The Herald Sun on January 10 and ranked Australia’s 100 most powerful WAGs.

The list was decided by ‘Instagram followers, business ventures and career success.’

Sarah Kohan, the Australian wife of LA Galaxy soccer player Javier Hernández, was in first place, followed by Vanessa Sierra, the girlfriend of tennis bad boy Bernard Tomic. 

Former Ironwoman Candice placed eighth, while law graduate Dani Willis, who is married to Steve Smith, placed 21st.

Ben Cutting’s fiancée, Erin Holland, also made the list, landing in ninth place.
