‘Now that I have finished playing football, it’s time’: AFL star Thomas Bellchambers will undergo hair re-growth treatments ahead of wedding to actress fiancée Olympia Valance
Retired AFL player Thomas Bellchambers has revealed he will undergo hair regrowth treatments before his wedding to Olympia Valance.
The retired Essendon player will undergo Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment to combat hair loss at the Elucell medical spa in Richmond.
Speaking to the Herald Sun this week, Thomas said his main motivation was to look good for his wife-to-be, Olympia.

‘I have been thinking about this for probably the last 12 to 18 months and now that I have finished playing football it’s time to do something about it,’ he said.
Thomas retired from playing AFL at the end of the 2020 season after 136 games with the Bombers, but will return as a ruck coach.
Thomas explained he wanted to combat thinning at the front of his crown, and said he had previously used PRP for football injuries.
‘I have used PRP for different injuries in football before, so it was something that was reasonably familiar to me.’
Thomas didn’t reveal any details about the couple’s upcoming wedding, but hinted it wouldn’t be until 2022 as the hair treatments are expected to go for 12 months.
PRP injections involve extracting plasma from a patient’s own blood which can then be used to stimulate the hair follicle.
Thomas and Olympia announced their engagement back in October last year while the pair were holidaying on Queensland’s Orpheus Island.
Sharing a photo of the pair kissing, Olympia flaunted her diamond ring: ‘Today is a special day. The man of my dreams proposed to me,’ she wrote in the caption.
‘I get to marry my best friend,’ she added, tagging her beau in the post.

Olympia, who is the younger sister of Holly Candy (née Valance), also shared a photo of the lavish bento box-style spread Thomas prepared for the beachside picnic.
The couple began dating in June 2019 after meeting on the ultra-exclusive celebrity dating app, Raya.
Olympia said that after ‘matching’ with the footballer, the pair started chatting and soon realised they went shopping at the same Melbourne food market.
