More never-before-seen photographs emerge of the incredible Thor set that’s being built in Sydney

Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman are both in Sydney and ready to begin filming the upcoming Thor film, Love and Thunder.

And now new photos have emerged of the set, which is being built in Centennial Park, Sydney. 

In images taken on Thursday, crew are seen building a landscape in a fenced off area of the park. 

A pile of dirt could be seen in the middle, as well as brown molds around the area. 

A staircase could also be seen leading up to a platform, presumably to help with the dynamics of the scene that would be filmed there.

Earlier this week, Daily Mail Australia obtained aerial photographs that reveal the full extent of the production, and it seems no expense has been spared.

Images of the set at Sydney’s Fox Studios reveal two large sound stages ready for filming, as well as an array of trailers for the cast and crew. 

Chris, who plays the hammer-wielding Norse god Thor in the Marvel franchise, jetted from his home in Byron Bay to Sydney on Wednesday ahead of filming.

The 37-year-old actor was pictured in a white T-shirt as he disembarked a private jet.

American actress Natalie Portman, 39, is also in Australia to start filming.  

In the forthcoming installment, Natalie will play the female version of Thor.

Last month, she spoke about Chris’ training regimen for the movie during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

‘I’m gonna look like his grandma next to him,’ Natalie said, adding that she felt ‘a lot of pressure’ joining forces with his character.

The film will be directed by Taika Waititi.
